Today at Wolf Ridge Ski Resort: Home School Special today - $20 lift ticket, $9 ski rental, $15 snowboard rental.

Two for Tuesday tonight - buy one lift ticket, get one free. If snow tubing is more to your liking, the Original Tube Run (located on Puncheon Fork Road) is offering a 2-hour session for just $10 today through Thursday.

Located in Maggie Valley NC Cataloochee is North Carolina's First Ski Area, and usually the first NC Ski Area to open for the season. Located in Blowing Rock NC Appalachian Ski Mountain opened in December of 1968 with 3 slopes and simple rope tows. Today Appalachian has expanded to twelve slopes including two terrain parks serviced by one double chairlift, two quad chairlifts, two conveyor lifts (new in 2010) and one handle-pull lift. The Sapphire Valley Ski Area & Frozen Falls Tube Park is an integral part of the 5,700 acre four-season resort at Sapphire Valley NC.
