March 22 - Sugar Mountain skiing and snowboarding with 19 slopes and 5 lifts on a base of 28 - 72 inches. The Tubing Park is open with sessions at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm. Ice Skating is closed for the remainder of the ski season.

Located in Blowing Rock NC Appalachian Ski Mountain opened in December of 1968 with 3 slopes and simple rope tows. Wolf Ridge Ski Resort is just north of Asheville in the outskirts of Mars Hill NC.
