March 5 - Season Passes are at their lowest price of the year at Cataloochee Ski Area. They are
available to purchase online now, over the phone or in person. Season rentals for next season are also available for
order. New this season will be a reduced deposit fee of $125
that will be held without charging until skis or boards are returned in the
spring. Also, should your child outgrow their boots during the season, they will be
upsized at no extra charge.
Cataloochee will be skiing from the top of the mountain down, including Wild Cat Glade for
day skiing only, on 16 trails with 3 aerial lifts and one conveyor lift
operating on a base of 69"-89" and a machine worked surface. There will be three
sessions of skiing, day skiing from 9 AM - 4:30 PM, twilight skiing from 1 PM until
10 PM and night skiing from 6 PM until 10 PM, with a morning or afternoon half day
rate also available.
Tube World located in Maggie Valley,
across from Ghost Town in the Sky, four miles from the ski area will is now
closed for the 2012/2013 tubing season.
