Today at Sugar Mountain Ski Resort: Open for ALL sessions, Skiing on 7 slopes with 4 lifts on a base of 8-32 inches with snowmaking continuing and light natural snowfall. The ice rink is open today for the 10AM, 12, 2, 4, and 6 PM. sessions. Tubing is closed

Day Session: 9:00am - 4:30pm
Half-Day Session: 12:30 - 4:30pm
Twilight Session: 12:30 - 10:00pm (closed 4:30 - 6:00pm)
Night Session: 6:00 - 10:00pm

Located in Blowing Rock NC Appalachian Ski Mountain opened in December of 1968 with 3 slopes and simple rope tows. Today Appalachian has expanded to twelve slopes including two terrain parks serviced by one double chairlift, two quad chairlifts, two conveyor lifts (new in 2010) and one handle-pull lift.
