Cataloochee SKi Update

Dec 17, Cataloochee Ski Area, Maggie Valley NC. Three sessions of skiing, day skiing from 9am until 4:30pm, twilight skiing from 1pm until 10pm and night skiing from 6pm until 10pm with a morning or afternoon half day rate also available. In addition to the regular day, twilight and night skiing schedule of Tuesday through Saturday evenings, Cataloochee will be day, twilight and night skiing through January 2 everyday except Christmas Eve when skiing will be from 8:30am – 4:30pm and Christmas Day from 1pm until 10pm. Holiday rates will be in effect everyday beginning Saturday December 19 through Friday, January 1. http://www.cataloochee.com/

Located in Blowing Rock NC Appalachian Ski Mountain opened in December of 1968 with 3 slopes and simple rope tows. Today Appalachian has expanded to twelve slopes including two terrain parks serviced by one double chairlift, two quad chairlifts, two conveyor lifts (new in 2010) and one handle-pull lift. The base lodge covers 46,000 square feet, is smoke free, and has complimentary WIFI in the restaurant. The Blue Ridge Ski Mountain welcomes skiers of all skills and styles, including snowboarders! Located in the Village of Sugar Mountain on the outskirts of Banner Elk NC Sugar Mountain is the largest NC ski area with twenty slopes and trails spread over 115 skiable acres for all levels of skiing and snowboarding.
