with the High Fives foundation and Nighttrain Clothing to bring you a better St.
Patrick’s day Park Jam than ever and support a great cause. Bring your green
hat. This will be the second season of the Park Jam, which was conceptualized by
the Alpine Ski Shop, who will be providing some terrific prizes for standouts
thanks to Line, Saga, Anon, Burton, Roxy, Giro, and Nighttrain.

First Cat Cage Rail Jam of the Season
December 13 at Cataloochee Ski Area the Cat Cage Rail Jam - a FREE entry Ski and Snowboard event. Registration will be at 6 PM with practice at 7 pm and the contest
beginning at 7:30 PM. There will be great prizes, great FUN and great friends to enjoy.
Spectators are welcome and food and beverages will be served in the lodge. The slope will be open to event participants only. The rail jam will be on main slope in front of lodge and in viewing area of the new deck. Helmets are required.

Sapphire Ski Area Annual Outhouse Races
February 16 at Sapphire Valley Area the Annual Outhouse Races start at 2 PM. This fun family event will be broadcast this year for those who can't attend in person on Sapphire Valley TV.
Check-in for participants begins at 2 PM with the static Parade at 2:30 and the actual race at 3 PM. Proceeds benefits the Cashiers-Highlands Human Society.
The Sapphire Valley Ski Area & Frozen Falls Tube Park is an integral part of the 5,700 acre four-season resort at Sapphire Valley NC. The Ski Area's average elevation is 3400 feet and consists of The Sapphire Streamliner", a 1600 foot main run with a vertical drop of 200 feet featuring a state-of-the-art quad lift. The Frozen Falls Tube Park, is a 500-foot multi-lane snow tube hill with a vertical drop of 70 feet. There is a rustic mountain style lodge complete with stone fireplace, 'Four Seasons Grille" Restaurant/Snack Bar, clothing shop and clothing rental.
