Cataloochee Ski Area offers FREE lessons

In support of January’s Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month, Cataloochee is offering FREE ANY LEVEL ski or snowboard lessons any non-holiday Sunday - Friday with the purchase of a lift ticket & Cataloochee ski or snowboard rental.  And as an added bonus, the first 250 persons signing up for a lesson will receive a FREE non-holiday Monday - Friday lift ticket to return this season.  Lesson times are at 9:30, 11:30, 1:30, 3:30, 5:30, and 7:15pm and you should plan on being at the area at least 30 minutes prior to your chosen lesson time to sign up.  Get details about Cataloochee and all ski resorts in North Carolina

Burton Learn to Ride Center at Appalachian Ski Mountain

Burton’s Learn To Ride Program is specifically designed to accelerate learning by utilizing beginner specific equipment. With 4 to 1 student-to-teacher ratio, appropriate learning terrain, and shops that set riders up right the first time, the goal of the Learn To Ride (LTR) program is to give beginner snowboarders the best initial snowboarding experience. By using proven instruction methods and equipment created specifically for beginners, LTR helps riders enjoy their first day on a snowboard.

Cataloochee Offers Airboarding

Tuesday and Wednesday Evenings, Cataloochee Ski Area, Maggie Valley North Carolina. Airboarding with instructor Kevin Yount from Face Level Industries - cost $59 for the 3 hour package and runs from 6:30pm-9:30pm includes airboard rental, 3 hour lift ticket, boots, helmet and instruction. Class size is limited to the first 8 folks to sign up and reservations are accepted, so get your friends and come on out!

Learn a Snowsport in January with Free Lessons

January is Learn a Snowsports Month and your friends at Cataloochee don’t think it should be limited to just one month so NEW this season is our FREE Intro to Skiing or Riding lesson with ANY Cataloochee ski or snowboard rental, any non-holiday Monday through Thursday. We go one step further to make sure your first on-snow experience is a great one and offer all guests renting equipment at the area a free one hour introduction to skiing or snowboarding lesson when you rent your equipment any non-holiday Monday through Thursday. Learn a Snow Sport in January

January is "Learn a Snowsport Month". FREE Intro to Skiing or Riding lesson at Cataloochee Ski Area with ANY Cataloochee ski or snowboard rental, any non-holiday Monday through Thursday. Appalachian Ski Mountain offers a "Learn to Ski or Snowboard Package" (includes lesson, equipment and ski ticket) for individuals and groups. At the Beech Mountain Snow Sports Learning Center instructors teach contemporary techniques to provide the quickest results. The Sugar Bear Ski School at Sugar Mountain  Resort is designed to teach skiing to children ages 5-10. Wolf Ridge Ski Resort provides a top rated Snow Sports School that provides lessons for beginners to intermediate in skiing, telemark skiing, and snowboarding. At Sapphire Valley Ski Area beginners will be taught the FUN-damentals of skiing or snowboarding from our excellent instructors and you will receive personal attention in a structured environment.
