MLK Weekend Ski Resort Updates

Sugar Mountain Ski Resort Update: Normal weekday rates apply on Monday, January 17, 2011. Weekend rates apply Saturday & Sunday, January 15-16, 2011. College discounts not available. No snowmaking during day or night sessions.

Wolf Ridge Ski Resort Update: Its SUNDAY and we had an incredible Saturday at the Wolf yesterday. Its 27 degrees on the Mountain and the weather man is calling for light snow today. There are 22 runs and 5 lifts in full operation today as well as both upper and lower lodges open for ticket and rental purchases. We will be on our Holiday Rates and Extended Hours Schedule with NO SUNDAY SPECIAL this weekend. The slopes open at 9.00am and close at 10.00pm so get here early to get your equipment and shred the snow!!!

Located in Blowing Rock NC Appalachian Ski Mountain opened in December of 1968 with 3 slopes and simple rope tows. Today Appalachian has expanded to twelve slopes including two terrain parks serviced by one double chairlift, two quad chairlifts, two conveyor lifts (new in 2010) and one handle-pull lift. The base lodge covers 46,000 square feet, is smoke free, and has complimentary WIFI in the restaurant. The Blue Ridge Ski Mountain welcomes skiers of all skills and styles, including snowboarders! The Sapphire Valley Ski Area & Frozen Falls Tube Park is an integral part of the 5,700 acre four-season resort at Sapphire Valley NC.
