Cataloochee Ski Area Celebrates Learn to Ski Month

January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month and Cataloochee Ski Area celebrates by offering you big incentives to learn to ski or ride this season. You can purchase your all inclusive learn to ski or ride package offering lesson, lift and ski or snowboard rental for anyone ages 8 and above on any non-holiday Monday through Friday for ONLY $29.00!

The Lesson is required. TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED ON LIFTOPIA.COM and can not be purchased at the area at that price. Cataloochee has additional opportunities for learning to ski or ride with free beginner lessons included will all Cataloochee rentals any non-holiday Monday through Thursday, all season long.

Located in Maggie Valley NC Cataloochee is North Carolina's First Ski Area, and usually the first NC Ski Area to open for the season. Catalochee offers Smoky Mountain Skiing, Riding and Tubing with 16 lighted slopes including the Cat Cage Terrain Park. Located in Blowing Rock NC Appalachian Ski Mountain opened in December of 1968 with 3 slopes and simple rope tows. Today Appalachian has expanded to twelve slopes including two terrain parks serviced by one double chairlift, two quad chairlifts, two conveyor lifts (new in 2010) and one handle-pull lift. The base lodge covers 46,000 square feet, is smoke free, and has complimentary WIFI in the restaurant. The Blue Ridge Ski Mountain welcomes skiers of all skills and styles, including snowboarders! Located in the Village of Sugar Mountain on the outskirts of Banner Elk NC Sugar Mountain is the largest NC ski area with twenty slopes and trails spread over 115 skiable acres for all levels of skiing and snowboarding. Wolf Ridge Ski Resort is just north of Asheville in the outskirts of Mars Hill NC. The Slopes of Wolf Ridge have over 82 acres of ski terrain with 23 Exciting Ski Slopes, 10 Green Family Runs, 3 Black Diamond and 10 Blue Runs . The Sapphire Valley Ski Area & Frozen Falls Tube Park is an integral part of the 5,700 acre four-season resort at Sapphire Valley NC.
