Family Days 50th Year Celebration at Appalachian Ski Mountain

March 10 50th Celebration Family Day at Appalachian Ski Mountain. The final “Family Days” continue ASM's 50th year celebration with:
1)Special 2 for 1 Ticket offer: Buy an 8 hour flex ticket on March 10th and get a free ticket good any day or night between March 11 and December 15, 2012

2) Live 60's Band on the deck (weather permitting)

3) Tethered Hot-Air Balloon Rides 1:30 - 3:30 $10 / 10 min ride (weather permitting)

4) The Sanctuary Massage Stations (50 cents / minute) 1-4pm

5) Free Professional Family Ski Portrait (Digital Copy) taken by Joshua Easterling Photography 10am - 3pm

6) Slopeside Burgers and Hotdogs on the grill 11am - 3pm

7) Free Junior Ice Skating (ages 12 & under) with paid adult / limit 4
Juniors per family. Offered at special morning session 9 - 11am

Located in Blowing Rock NC Appalachian Ski Mountain opened in December of 1968 with 3 slopes and simple rope tows. Today Appalachian has expanded to twelve slopes including two terrain parks serviced by one double chairlift, two quad chairlifts, two conveyor lifts (new in 2010) and one handle-pull lift. The base lodge covers 46,000 square feet, is smoke free, and has complimentary WIFI in the restaurant. The Blue Ridge Ski Mountain welcomes skiers of all skills and styles, including snowboarders! Wolf Ridge Ski Resort is just north of Asheville in the outskirts of Mars Hill NC.
