Spring Fever Blowout at Beech Mountain

Beech Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain North Carolina. With over one hundred inches of natural snowfall this season, there is still great skiing in the North Carolina Mountains! Starting this week rates drop to $20 for a day or twilight ticket and $10 for a half day or night ticket. These rates will be in effect until the closing date, which is yet to be determined. Located in Maggie Valley NC Cataloochee is North Carolina's First Ski Area, and usually the first NC Ski Area to open for the season. Located in Blowing Rock NC Appalachian Ski Mountain opened in December of 1968 with 3 slopes and simple rope tows. Today Appalachian has expanded to twelve slopes including two terrain parks serviced by one double chairlift, two quad chairlifts, two conveyor lifts (new in 2010) and one handle-pull lift. Located in the Village of Sugar Mountain on the outskirts of Banner Elk NC Sugar Mountain is the largest NC ski area with twenty slopes and trails spread over 115 skiable acres for all levels of skiing and snowboarding.
