Airboarding at Cataloochee

Feb 9, 11, Cataloochee Ski Area, Maggie Valley North Carolina. Tuesday and Thursday evenings, Cataloochee offers Airboarding with instructor Kevin Yount from Face Level Industries. Airboarding will cost $59 for the 3 hour package from 6:30pm-9:30pm and includes airboard rental, 3 hour lift ticket, boots, helmet and instruction. Class size is limited to the first 8 folks to sign up and reservations are accepted. Every non-holiday Monday through Thursday all persons renting skis or snowboards at Cataloochee receive a FREE Intro to Skiing or Riding lesson! Lesson times are offered at 10, 12, and 2pm and you should plan on being at the area at least 30 minutes prior to your chosen lesson time to sign up. http://cataloochee.com/

Located in Blowing Rock NC Appalachian Ski Mountain opened in December of 1968 with 3 slopes and simple rope tows. Today Appalachian has expanded to twelve slopes including two terrain parks serviced by one double chairlift, two quad chairlifts, two conveyor lifts (new in 2010) and one handle-pull lift.
